after that i went to a screening of Violence at Noon (Hakuchu no torima, 1966), a film of Nagisa Oshima. i can't understand all of it, but the cinematography is really impressive. should get a DVD copy if i were a serious film student!
Mai Po Marshes, which is located at the northwestern corner of Hong Kong, have been known as a haven for migratory birds for decades. In 1995, 1,500 ha of wetlands around Mai Po and Inner Deep Bay were formally designated a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention.
